Props from recent films highlight Hollywood memorabilia auction

On Jan. 18, movie fans will have the opportunity to dress themselves in costumes from some of their favorite recent films when the Hollywood VIP Movie Memorabilia Auction V kicks off in El Segundo, Calif.

Featuring costumes worn by some of the biggest names in Hollywood while they played some of the most famous characters of their careers, the Jan. 18 auction will provide interested parties with plenty of amazing pieces to add to their memorabilia collections. Anyone who wants to get an early look at the inventory, which also includes props from several recent pictures, or place remote bids on auction day should head over to iCollector.com.

Leading men
Costumes worn by many of the most famous leading men of the day will be on display in El Segundo, including a suit and overcoat worn by Anthony Hopkins in the 2013 film "Red 2" (lot #191), two outfits that Hugh Jackman donned for his role as Keller Dover in the 2013 thriller "Prisoners" (lots #175 and 179) and the running gear that adorned Bradley Cooper when he took his star turn in the Oscar-winning film "Silver Linings Playbook" (lot #209).

Leading ladies
Julia Roberts has long been one of the most cherished actresses in American film. On Jan. 18, the long robe she wore in the 2012 fantasy movie "Mirror Mirror" (lot #123) will be among the most sought-after items.

However, plenty of other actresses who have been building burgeoning careers over the past few years will also be well represented. Isla Fisher is one of the fastest-rising stars in Hollywood, and bidders will be able to grab the outfit she wore in the 2013 magic-based film "Now You See Me" (lot #148). There's also the simple attire Zoe Saldana was dressed in for her role in the recent pulse-pounding hit "Out of the Furnace" (lot #152).

Movie prop auction
There will also be several props among the approximately 300 lots that will be on the block in El Segundo. One of the most exciting is a metal sword and accompanying sheath that was used in the 2002 blockbuster "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" (lot #105). One of the most beloved movie series of all time, The Lord of the Rings trilogy has provided some of the most popular collector's items in movie history.
