Colonial Acres Spring Premier Numismatic Auction Coming On April 6th and 7th

Colonial Acres Coins is excited to present their Spring Premier Numismatic Auction for online bidding. Over 1200 lots spread between two days will go through the auction block. This is their premier auction showcasing many unique and seldom found items such as key date decimal coins, paper money, tokens and spectacular error coins and notes. Bidding starts March 9th and the live event will occur on April 6th & 7th at 530pm Eastern Time live at the Hilton hotel in Mississauga , Ontario with online bidding through iCollector.com.

Features that show throughout the first day of the sale begin with a beautiful 15 coin proof set from Great Britain up for bidding at Lot 12A. This is a 1937 King George VI coronation set from the Royal Mint set in its original case. The coins included are all nice proof finish with rainbow toning on the silver issues and deep rich reds on the copper. The set includes: 1937 Silver Coronation Crown, Half-crown, Florin, English & Scottish Shillings, Sixpence, Three pence, Brass Three pence, Bronze Penny, Halfpenny & Farthing, as well as the silver Maundy Money Four pence to Penny. Bidding opens at only $300.

The most valuable piece of day one is hitting the auction block at Lot 302. Available is a highly sought after 1921 Canadian 5 cent piece. Graded VG-8 it shows both front and back photos in the online catalog for viewing. Bidding opens at a bidder friendly price of $4200.

An outstanding banknote is featuring during the April 7th session. Found in the online catalog at Lot 1003, this is a Dominion of Canada 1924 $5 note. As described by the auctioneer:

“DC-27. 1924 Dominion of Canada $5, Campbell-Sellar, S/N: A052160/C, PMG VF-30. A well centered and attractive example free of any soiling. The note has no holes but has a small tear along the bottom edge. A respectable and iconic piece of Canadian paper money”

Bidding on this banknote will be robust and opens at $6500. It is valued at up to $10,500. There are photos of the front and back of the note available for inspection in the online catalog.

A beautiful 1935 Bank of Canada English $1000 note follows shortly at Lot 1024. Opening for bidding at $5000, it features:

” BC-19. 1935 Bank of Canada English $1000, Osborne-Towers, S/N: A01479/D, PMG VF-30. The note is well centered and evenly worn, but has four pinholes near the top left corner.’

The auction kicks off at 5:30 PM both Friday April 6th and Saturday April 7th, 2018. Live and mobile bidding is available and absentee bidding is currently being accepted.
