An Outstanding Offering of Firearms, Edged Weapons, and Militaria Up For Auction November 22nd

This is a lever action rifle, with factory added dustcover rail, #27498, .44-40 cal., 28” octagonal barrel, blue finish with case hardened frame, single set trigger, smooth walnut forend and handguard, crescent buttplate, mid-range vernier tang sight, and combination front sight; standard rear sight is present. Moving ahead in the sale will find an outstanding shotgun showing at Lot 199. This is a Midas Grade Browning Superposed O/U Shotgun. The main features are  28 ga., 28” barrels choked Skeet/Skeet with twin white beads on matted rib, blue finish with deep relief scroll engraving with 18K gold inlaid ducks and pheasants on frame side and a quail on bottom; ejector trip rods, ejector hammers, and firing pins are also 18K gold plated. This shotgun has an estimated sale value of 18,000 USD to 24000 USD and is going to have exciting bidding activity. What makes this even more interesting it was a personal pistol belonging to General Curtis E LeMay. With this provenance alone side such a beautiful piece, this will surely exceed expectations.
