First Nations Art & Artifacts Auction This Weekend On iCollector.com

The Bill Reid Silver Brooch can be found in the online catalog at Lot 133. This beautiful piece has an Incised Raven Design and is signed “Haida Art Reid”. This is in fine condition and is 2 ¼ inches in diameter. The opening bid is only $500 CAD and this will be attracting a lot of attention. The Robert Davidson silver bracelet is in the very next lot at 134. This is an early design from the artist and has a beautiful butterfly design. It was made in 1970 and is 6 inches long and 5/8 inches wide. In good condition, this is a highly sought after piece and the opening bid is $8000 CAD. Another stand out is the cane from the estate of Sir Lyman Melvin Jones. Showing online at Lot 188, this is a Yew Wood Ceremonial Staff carved with multiple figures and was made circa 1880. This was gifted to Sir Jones as the 9th Mayor of Winnipeg from 1887 – 1888. This is in very good condition and is 33 ½ inches in length. There are eight detailed photos available for online viewing and the estimated value of this highly sought after piece is $10,000 CAD to $15,000 CAD.
