This auction contains Native American artifacts such as Navajo weavings, Pre-Columbian artifacts, and other pre-historic items such as arrowheads and other stone tools. Basketry is highlighted with a great piece at Lot 106. Presented is a Fine Maidu Basket opening for bidding at $2000 and is circa the 1890’s. It is made of red bud and sumac and measures 21.5” by 22” by 6”. The Maidu are from Northeastern California and this is a museum quality basket with good investment value. Lot 138 is a stunning Large Polynesian Shield opening for only $500. This is circa World War 2 and is made of wood, paint, and fibers. This comes from a private collection and is backed with a Certificate of Authenticity.
