A collection of some of the worlds most bankable autographs from the most famous people in history will be up on the auction block on July 31st and August 5th from Simon Parrs Auctions. Autographs from Marilyn, to The Beatles, To Elvis to Michael Jackson, are all available as well as historical items from names such as Bram Stoker, to Charles Darwin, to Einstein. Well over 600 lots are up for grabs in front of a worldwide audience of collectors. Both sessions have one simple registration and bidders can leave their maximum bids ahead of the auction or bid live on each sale day.
Photographer Bert Stern is highlighted on the July 31st session autographing two beautiful photos of Marilyn Monroe. First up at Lot 2, is the Marilyn Monroe photo “Pink Classic Roses” that is signed and stamped by Mr Stern on verso. The image is 8×10 inches and the paper is 13×19 inches. This is in museum quality condition and was obtained from Bert Stern’s personal assistant. The second highlight is photo of Marilyn entitled “Sexy Back” at Lot 168. This is on heavy archival matte photo paper and is 13×19 inches. The image itself is 12×18 inches and is signed by Mr. Stern and copyright stamped on the verso. This is one of an edition of 50. Simon Parr Auctions are offering a framing service for this one and the winning bidder should contact the gallery before making payment.
On August 5th, Pink Floyd fans need to pay attention. Presented at Lot 144 is a signed copy of Dark Side of the Moon. The sleeve is signed by all for members; Roger Waters, Nick Mason, David Gilmour, and Richard Wright. This album was a huge success and remained on the Billboard chards for 741 consecutive weeks with over 50 million copies sold. This is a fantastic and special piece of memorabilia to add to any Pink Floyd collection and comes with a full COA.
