Selections of Canadian, US, and World coins are up for auction this upcoming weekend on iCollector.com. On May 22nd and 23rd, and marketing to their extensive following of coin enthusiasts, iCollector.com and Colonial Acres Coins have put together a two day live auction with over 900 lots to choose from. Absentee bidding is open online, and live bidding will take place both days through the internet. This two day auction covers a wide range of categories. This auction features World Coins and Paper Money and God Coins. Lot 127 is a highlighted 1937 Mirror Specimen set which is PCGS certified. This includes 1ct, 5ct, 10ct, 25ct, 50ct, and one dollar coins all certified at SP63 or higher. Bidding is opening at a value for $1785 and the pre-auction estimates are between $3500 and $4000 Canadian.
At Lot 284 is the most valuable coin of the first day of auctioneering. This is a 1894 10 Cent piece OBV 5 that is graded MS63 by ICCS. It has a full vibrant strike with lustrous toning. It is a scarce coin and only 3 known examples are graded in Mint State. This will be a highly sought after coin and bidding will be opening at $3000 Canadian and will sell to the highest bidder.
A highlighted banknote shows up in the second day of the auction at Lot 634. A 1912 Dominion or Canada $5 banknote is up for grabs. This is CD021c with a serial number of B471720. PMG has graded this CUNC-64 and this is a well centered, bright, and clean banknote. This will be an excellent addition to any collection of Canadian banknotes, specifically those interested in the Dominion of Canada notes. The note has an estimated value of $7200 Canadian and bidding will be opening at $4700 Canadian.
