Colonial Acres Fall Premier Numismatic Auction Coming On September 7th to 9th

Colonial Acres Coins is excited to present their Spring Premier Numismatic Auction for online bidding. Over 1800 lots spread between three days will go through the auction block. This is their premier auction showcasing many unique and seldom found items such as key date decimal coins, paper money, tokens and spectacular error coins and notes. The live event will occur on September 7th & 8th @530pm EST (230pm PT) Live at the Hilton hotel in Mississauga with bidding online through Icollector.com. One of the best pieces on the first day is found at Lot 492. Colonial Acres is presenting a 1913 10 cent broad leaves coin. This has nice even toning throughout the obverse and reverse of the coin, and has a stunning blue and burnt orange hue around the other rim on the obverse. This is certified AU-55 by PCGS and bidding opens at $3125.

A banknote valued as high as $20000 is hitting the auction block at Lot 1062 on the second day of auctioneering. This is an 1884 Bank of British North America note. The full description from the catalog is as follows:

“May 1st 1884, PQ-Montreal, The Bank of British North America $5. S/N# 16877. Catalogue #: 55-20-02. PCGS Certified F-15. (Small edge Splits). Nicknamed the “Circus Poster” Banknote with the face design printed in Blue with orange tint, and the Reverse being printed in black. An extremely rare and highly sought after Banknote with only 7 pieces known to exist 2 of those being housed in an institutional Collection and another Stamped cancelled. The last one sold in the January 2012 Heritage’s Signature FUN Auction for $34, 500.00 USD, it was PCGS Certified VF-20. This is an opportunity that many collectors will wait a lifetime to be able to have the chance to purchase such a highly revered and respected piece of Canadian Banknote history”

The online only auction on the 3rd day reveals plenty of great auction buys. A featured highlight is up for grabs at Lot 1419 with an opening bid of only $1800. An Austrian 1676 gold ducat greated PCGS Genuine Repaired UNC can be a welcome addition to any collection. This piece is valued at up to $4000.

The auction kicks off at 5:30 PM both Friday September 7th and Saturday September 8th, 2018. The final day, online only, has bidding open live at noon on Sunday September 9th, 2018. Live and mobile bidding is available and absentee bidding is currently being accepted. The entire catalog is available for online inspection with full photos and descriptions.
