RG Munn and iCollector.com To Present an American Indian Art Auction on January 7th

iCollector.com is starting off 2015 with their first auction of Native American art and collectibles on the evening Wednesday, January 7th . RG Munn Auctions will be broadcasting this event live on the internet with fully interactive live bidding, audio, and video. In the first third of the sale, there is a stunning Navajo textile showing ant Lot 69 in the online catalog. This textile is from circa 1950’s to 1960’s with a black field Yei and rainbow colors. The dimensions are 36 inches by 53 inches. There are four photos available for preview on iCollector.com that give a very clear picture of the workmanship. The opening bid is only $200 and bids can be left now or taken live on auction day.

Lot 158 presents a lovely Hopi Pottery Bowl. This is a 1976 painted thunder bird design with a signature. The dimensions are 2.5 inches by 9 inches. Nearing the end of the sale, there is a notable kachina at Lot 182. This Hopi Kachina Doll is from the 1980’s and is hand carved. It is painted to depict koshari, and is signed by L Jim. At 10 inches tall, this is a beautiful doll to add to any collection. There are several photographs to view including a close up of the face, as well as showing the signature on the bottom of the artwork.
