Big Fall Phoenix Auction of Native American Art & Artifacts

Allard Auctions is holding their big sale of the Fall season coming from Phoenix, Arizona. For 2 days, November 7th and 8th, Allard will be hosting for online bidding on iCollector.com almost 900 Lots to chose from. This collectible sale features Native American and Western items to suit a wide range of interested buyers. There will be everything imaginable from beadwork to pottery, artwork to jewelry, great baskets, and much more. All items will sell by auction to the highest bidder with an international audience of online bidders and a great live audience at the auction room.

One of the highest valued pieces on the first day of auction is a beautiful totem pole available at Lot 128. This is a Coast Salish Totem Pole from Aubrey La Fortune. This is from the late 1900’s and is a large and exquisite hand carved cedar totem pole in traditional hollowed back form. This is a museum quality example with a beautiful selection of photos in the online catalog. This is one of only 8 the artist made in this larger size, which measures 8” by 20” by 14”. Bidding is opening at $2500 and this will have brisk bidding and will sell for several times the opening bid.

An outstanding outfit can be fetched by the highest bidder later in the 1st day at Lot 249. This lot presents a Sioux beaded boy’s outfit. This has an amazing matching vest and trousers, both completely beaded in the front and back. There are traditional geometric symbols on a garnet field and this outfit is in excellent condition. The vest measures 16” by 14” and the pants are 22” by 13 ½”. This outfit was made in the late 1900’s and is estimated to sell between $2500 and $5000.

A beautiful bronze sculpture highlights the second day of the auction and is presented for bidding at Lot 640J. From artist Kim Obrzut, and circa 2001, is a life sized limited edition six foot tall bronze sculpture. This is entitled “Greeting the Sun” and is on a nice steel base. This is #2 of 22 that were made by the artist and is in very good condition. With dimensions of 72” by 24” by 20” this sculpture is ready to display and there are several beautiful photos to be seen online. Bidding is opening at $2500 on this piece.

Saturday November 7th 2015 will begin live bidding at 12PM Mountain Time, and the Sunday the 8th session will begin a bit earlier at 10AM Mountain time. Absentee bidding is available through any computer or mobile device right up until auction day. The full catalog is now online for inspection and questions and ready for bidding.
