The Fall Firearms Auction from Dakota Plains is Here on November 7th

The highly anticipated Fall Firearms Auction is online and ready for bidding. This auction has been carefully prepared by Dakota Plains Auctions and continues their commitment to quality and outstanding auction values. On Saturday November 7th, they are presenting for live internet bidding on iCollector.com a catalog of over 420 lots of various firearms as well as such items as western spurs and antique furnishings. There are such names as Winchester, Colt, Smith and Wesson included in the sale as well as various modern handguns.

An outstanding Winchester rifle comes up for bidding early in the catalog at Lot 50. From 1895, this Winchester .291 Zipper is a single shot rifle with a 26” barrel. There are walnut stocks, tang sight and a folding front. The rifle is refinished in black parkerized style finish, and has excellent action and bore. This antique has a serial number of 93941. The rifle is estimated to be selling for $1400 to $2200 and will go to the highest bidder. Another great Winchester comes up next at Lot 51. This one is from 1885 and is a 45-90 high wall single shot rifle with a 24” No 3 barrel. It has excellent action as well, and a very good bore. This rifle has a similar estimate and is sure to sell.

A Colt SA Army .38 special can be grabbed at Lot 69. Here is a revolver with a 5 ½” barrel, reblued finish and with hard rubber checkered grips. There is nice tight action and a bright bore. This modern handgun is estimated in value at $1300 to $1800. The serial number is 248931. Another great handgun that stands out is a few lots later at 72. Another Colt, this is a Woodsman .22 caliber with serial number 59646. This is a semi auto pistol with a 6 ½” barrel with blued finish and checkered walnut grips. The finish is nice and original and it has excellent action and a very good bore as well. This pistol is a great value piece in the auction opening at only $400.

Among the furniture highlights is a beautiful early walnut side char selling at Lot 153. This chair has a velvet seat and is on the original front casters. It has a pierce carved back and is a great value that should sell for under $300. A great addition to the antique collector to put in their home. At Lot 155 is another nice piece of antique furniture in form of a Victoria walnut wash stand. It has a marble top with 3 drawers and the original tear drop pulls. This measures 16” x 28” by 30” and is estimated at $250 to $450.

The entire catalog is online with photos and descriptions and ready to accept absentee bids right up until auction day. The auction will begin on Saturday November 7th, at 10AM Local time from South Dakota.
