Great heavyweight fighter Earnie Shavers is forever remembered for this fight with Mohammed Ali, and being one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight boxing history. This auction feature three pieces of collectibles signed by Earnie that make a great collectible for boxing fans. First, is Lot 1 in the catalog. A great 8” x 10” signed photo from Shavers of the renowned fight between Mohammed Ali and Sonny Liston, depicting the famous show of Ali standing over Liston. Shavers inscribed on the photo “Ali said, Shavers hit me so hard, it shook my kin folk in Africa”. Lot 6 gives an opportunity to take home a signed Everlast boxing glove, inscribed with his nickname “Black Destroyer” and “68 KO’s”. And thirdly, at Lot 16 is a signed replica fight poster from his 1977 fight with Ali. This is a 16” by 20” poster and signed in black felt pen by Mr. Shavers. All three of these items are great buys for the boxing collector.
