Lot 169 features a 1912 Chinese Government 5% Gold Loan bond. This is a great piece for collectors! The details are:
“China. £500, Series C, K272, I/U bond, Black on brown border with blue underprint, 2000 originally, S/N 0334, VF condition. Printer: Roberts & Leete.”
A feature later in the sale is Lot 710. Offered up is a bond from the Atlantic Railroad Company and it opens for only $75. This is Tavares, Orlando from 1885 and is a specimen bond. Estimated value is a great range at $140 to $280.
Lot 857 is worth taking a look at, as the auction offers a note from the First National Bank of Elko opening for bidding at $3500. As one of the most valuable pieces in the sale, it is not to be missed. The auction catalog’s full description is:
“Elko, NV., $20, 1902 PB, Fr#650, Ch.# 7743, S/N 13873, PCGS graded Fine 15 Apparent with note of small repairs.”
