A highly impressive piece of pottery valued at almost $16000 is up on the auction block at Lot 180. This is a San Ildefonso Pottery Plate by Maria Martinez. From the early 1900s, this is a large black on black 14” plate with a classic radiating feather design. It is a museum quality example In very good condition and signed by the artist. Bidding opens at only $4000 and there are some stunning photos in the online catalog.
The highlight Navajo rug is up for grabs on the second day at Lot 550. This is an historic rug from JB Moore with a pre auction value of almost $20000. From circa 1903-1911 this rare rug is designed and woven and there are only a few still in existence. In very good condition, this measures 89” by 57”. Bidding opens for $5000.
