An important piece of Native American design is available for the winning bidder of Lot 117. This is an important early Eastern Sioux Native American forged iron trade pipe tomahawk from circa 1780-1840. The pipe tomahawk head has a very unique and desirable cut out design and deep pipe bowl. This has a file branded haft or pipe stem that is believed to be a replacement from the late 19th century. A great Western collectible brings another highlight to Lot 143 in the online catalog. Here is an original August Beurmann silver mounted horse bit which is circa 1880 – 1890. The piece features an excellently detailed Great American Bison Buffalo silver mounted spot on with Buffalo horn half-moon below and a silver spot above, all on both sides. The bit also shows a chased etched design giving the silver spot above the Buffalo spot the appearance of a whirling comet. This is a very unique piece and measures 8.5” L x 5.75” W and 2” D. The set of original leather reigns is also included in this great find. This comes from a wonderful Montana collection and has been well preserved.
