Stephen Album Rare Coins is an American company specializing in Ancient, Islamic, Indian, and Modern World Coins. The company does three major auctions each year in January, May, and this exceptional auction in September. Mr. Album began as a full time dealer back in 1976 and has grown the firm with key partnerships and a reputation for outstanding service and excellent grading, authenticity, and provenance of all coins they have for auction. The company has been broadcasting their live auctions with iCollector.com for over 3 years and continue to be one of their feature auctioneers in coins and numismatics.

Director of World Coins, Paul Montz, shares his thoughts on the auction. “Our Auction 20 will be held from September 18-20 in our offices in Santa Rosa, California. This is our largest auction to date, comprising 2978 lots, with Islamic, Chinese, Indian, and World Coins all well represented. We have some very interesting collections in this auction, the Nicholas Rhodes Chinese Cash and Islamic Collections, and the Dr. John Lund Norwegian and Danish India Collections. The Chinese cash group was put together some time ago (mostly the 1960’s), and as such, is exciting because of its provenance. The Norwegian is quite comprehensive, including a few 11th century pieces. Also, the Danish India (Tranquebar) selection is perhaps the most complete collection ever brought to auction. I can’t forget to mention the featured coin in the sale, a Jahangir Libra Mohur of the Mughal Empire. This is the first appearance of this coin in a major auction in eight years and is sure to command much interest.”

The Jahangir Libra Mohur can be found in the online catalog at Lot 1250. This falls into Session C on September 19th, which starts at 9AM Pacific Time. This outstanding coin is graded NSG EF45 and will be coming up for live bidding at an opening bid of 40,000 US Dollars. The bidding will be competitive as this is a significant coin that commands attention and has historical significance.

Bidders can navigate the online catalog via iCollector.com and searching for Stephen Album. There are two sessions each day from September 18th to 20th which start at 9 Am and 3PM Pacific Time respectively. The auction will accept live bidding and will be broadcasting live from Santa Rosa, California. Bidders can be part of this exceptional even with safe and secure online bidding via iCollector.com
