Lot 1 opens the auction with a US Model 1942 Springfield .69 caliber Rifle. The full catalog description is:
“US Model 1842 Springfield .69 cal. Lot 8 is an excellent collectible piece that includes 3 US leather McKeever cartridge pouches. The photos are an excellent vie and the lot is described as follows:

Seat 13 1/2″, includes M1850 saddle pommel holsters with original cartridge tins intact. Yoke seperated but repmilitary orginally with period applied black leather 2 pc. seat and skirts, fitted with tall brass horn. Seat 13 1/2″, includes M1850 saddle pommel holsters with original cartridge tins intact. Yoke seperated but repaired, flaps acontemporary replacements. Homemade saddle stand included.”
