Wide assortment of music, TV and movie memorabilia for sale

On Nov. 30, more than 200 items of movie, music and TV collectibles will be up for grabs at the Piece of the Past Celebrity Memorabilia auction in Las Vegas, Nev.

Featuring a diverse range of goods, from Elvis-related lots to an authenticity-certified set of autographs from the Three Stooges (lot #96), this Hollywood memorabilia auction can't be missed. And for anyone who can't make it to Sin City, an accompanying online auction will be held at iCollector.com.

Eclectic collection
The wide-ranging auction will offer lots from a stunning array of entertainment industry sources. Those who still worship the King can bid on a custom silk shirt that was owned by Elvis Presley (lot #100), pick up his personal army uniform rank stripes (lot #200) or take home a 1950s-era Christmas card featuring the legend and his long-time manager Colonel Tom Parker (lot #14).

Anyone who still has an affinity for the Beat Generation might want to take a look at a bandanna that was worn by one of that era's most significant voices, Jack Kerouac (lot #115). Or, if science fiction is more of a personal favorite, there is a prop Klingon blade – or, Daqtagh, in the vernacular of that alien species' language – from Star Trek: The Original Series (lot #204).

Movie memorabilia for sale
With a new trilogy of Star Wars movies on the horizon, interest in the franchise has never been higher, and at the upcoming Piece of the Past auction there will be a couple of bits of memorabilia associated with the original episodes.

A contract signed by George Lucas in 1972 that granted Universal Pictures the right to option future movies – including what would eventually become Star Wars – after his debut film "American Graffiti" (lot #181) is on the block. And Han Solo fans will be happy to find that they can take a crack at bringing home a poster with the hero's image signed by Harrison Ford (lot #119).

Both halves of the famed pool hustling series starring Paul Newman – 1961's "The Hustler" and its follow-up from 25 years later, "The Color of Money" – will be represented at the Nov. 30 auction. The piece of memorabilia from the former is an original film still signed by Newman (lot #129), and the latter can be appreciated with a laser disc sleeve also signed by the iconic star (lot #56).

That list of items is only the beginning of the auction's inventory, and with such a diverse set of items available, collectors will be hard-pressed not to find something they desire. To check out the full range of goods, be sure to log into iCollector.com.
