The Biggest Firearms Auction of the Year on June 24th to 26th on iCollector.com

Three huge days of guns await collectors and shooters of all disciplines in Rock Island Auction Company’s 2016 June Regional Firearms Auction. From June 24th to 26th bidders will have the opportunity to bid on nearly 6,800 firearms in over 3,400 lots. Included with the firearms are incredible selections of bladed weapons, military artifacts, ammunition, holster rigs, firearms books, and more. It’s the final Regional Auction for the year and collectors are in for a treat: normally these auctions can feature collectibles well over $20,000, but there’s not a single item all weekend with a low estimate over $10,000. Only 18 lots have an estimate over $4,000! That means thousands of affordable collectible firearms, hunting pieces, sporting arms, and defense weapons will all up for grabs at estimates acceptable to even the most cost conscious enthusiasts. Bidding takes place online and registration and absentee bidding is available now through the online catalog on iCollector.com.

Each day opens with its own outstanding selection of Winchesters, even desirable 1866 lever actions. Led by the example in Lot 4000, with its Henry barrel markings, there are a dozen of these iconic repeaters in this Regional event. It’s an incredible chance to grab a classic Winchester at a fraction of the price paid by top collectors. From this highly regarded manufacturer, there are also other classic lever actions, Model 12 shotguns, Model 70 rifles, slide action plinkers, and plenty of desirable pre-64 guns.

German and European are also featured prominently in the sale with several Lugers and Walthers earning some of the auction’s top estimates. Other nationalities aren’t far behind such as the British bolt actions in Lot 2580, or a trio of Frommer pistols in Lot 649. These are in addition to the scores of Japanese, Russian, and other European military arms also present.

It is also important to mention the Colts and other 19th century revolvers that should also attract collectors’ attention. Lot 2093 is a cased, engraved, and British proof Colt Third Model Dragoon that holds the top estimate of the auction, but many other Single Action Army revolvers are not far behind. There are three different offerings of the scarce Smith & Wesson Model 320 revolving rifle. Available with a 16, 18, or 20-inch barrel, each comes with its stock, and is an easy way to own an unusual and rare collector’s item – only 977 were ever produced in their 8 year run.

All pieces in this auction are available in the online catalog with photos and full descriptions. Browse all three days and leave the best bids possible before the sale. Live bidding begins on each day, January 24th to 26th 2016, at 9AM Central Time.
