US and Worldwide Banknotes, Scripophily & Ephemera from Archives International July 18th

Archives International, in partnership with iCollector.com, have put their July sale with a fantastic array of pieces up for auction to the highest bidder. On Tuesday July 18th, over 1000 Lots will be selling throughout the day. Included are a wide selection of US and Worldwide Banknotes as well as one of the best Scripophily selections of the year. Absentee bidding can be made anytime up until auction day, and live bidding will be accepted on auction day.

Highlighting the opening of the day is Lot 11. Up for auction is an Imperial Bank of China, 1989 Peking Branch Issue banknote. This is a great value and will sell for under $400. As described in the catalog: “Peking, China. 5 Mace, P-A39a (S/M#C293-1b), Issued banknote, Dark blue, brown and red on orange underprint, Dragons supporting shield at top center, S/N 19116, The top margin has an additional serial number “B/P 01363, Unlisted with this number, possibly a tracking or re-issue number. Appears Fine to VF but the left margin is torn and folded, so please examine carefully. Scarce note in any condition and this example appears with bright colors and large margins. BFL, printer.”.

Archives always delivers excellent buys on railway stock certificates. Up at Lot 1543 is a piece from the Saint Paul, Minnesota and Manitoba Railway Company from 1883. This is a $1000 speciment 6% consolidated mortgage gold coupon bond. It has black print on a black border and brown under the tint. There is a small image of a locomotive at the top and it is in VF-XF condition. Bidding opens at $160 and will quickly sell to the highest bidder.
