Antiques and Collectibles Sale Featuring a Collection of Cast Iron Doorstops on October 8th

Saturday October 8th sees the next great auction from Chamberlain Auctions broadcasting live on iCollector.com. This week’s auction delivers over 270 lots of many antiques and collectibles from some great estates including the McCrary’s who spent a lifetime collecting and are now downsizing and moving to Florida. Featured is a large collection of vintage cast iron door stops that are not to be missed. Some more highlights include: 19th C. Antique furniture, a 1931 Pontiac 2 door Sedan, a late 1800’s cast iron bell on stand, fine antique oil paintings, bronze sculpture, beautiful leather furniture, mid century modern sculpture, an antique Capo Di Monte ewer and so much more. There are almost 60 lots in the same feature the highly collectible door stops. All will sell to the highest bidder with great opening bids to ensure great buys. The first one up in the sale is at Lot 4 and is a vintage cast iron of a Dachshund Dog that measures 4 ½” high and 8” long. Lots 35 to 39 also feature doorstops of dogs, such as a cocker spaniel and some boston terriers. Lot 12 features a heavy model of a frog that is 3 ¼” high by 4 ½” wide. A highlight is Lot 32 which is a painted piece of Mickey Mouse of Bavarian origin that is 9 ½” high. There is a large cast iron doorstop of a horse available at Lot 139 that is 10 ¼” high by 11 ½” long. From animals to flowers to figurines, there is something to chose from for all collectors. All pieces have a photo in the online catalog and most of them have opening bids of below $50 to give bidders the best value for their dollar.

Lot 100 is a true masterpiece of vintage car collecting. Presented is a 1931 Pontiac 2 Door Sedan which is in great condition. It runs good and has only approximately 55,000 miles. This has never been wrecked and the estate has taken incredible care of this gem. This is a must see for collectors of vintage cars, and there are several photos in the online catalog for inspection. The auction is also happy to answer any more detailed questions about the car. This has been set with an opening bid of only $15000 which is remarkable and priced to move quickly at auction.

A beautiful hand painted figural ewer is up for grabs at Lot 113. Estimated in value at $2500, bidders can get in on the action opening at only $850. This is in excellent condition and is 16 ½” high by 8 ¾” wide. Several close up photographs are available for bidders to see for themselves, and the auctioneer is ready to pack and ship this treasure anywhere in the world.
