Blacksparrow is teaming up with The Hollywood Show in April to bring this auction to Los Angeles. The Hollywood Show was founded in 1979 and has been the most popular producers for autograph events where fans can meet celebrities, and vendors can offer their memorabilia. There will be props, autographs, costumes and artwork from films featuring the silver screen's greats like Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Downey Jr., James Gandolfini and many more.
"After Earth" collectibles
Will Smith and real-life son Jaden Smith starred in the science fiction thriller "After Earth" in 2013. This film centers around the story of a father and son who crash land on Earth 1,000 years after a major disaster forced humanity to abandon Earth for a new home planet. The son has to save his father, who is dying, and trek across dangerous terrain while being followed by evolved predators and an alien beast. You can get in on the action with a helmet worn by Jaden Smith in the film (lot #7). This is a hard plastic cadet helmet outfitted with a metal face guard, leather chin strap and sun visor. Jaden Smith's character's name, Kitai, is handwritten on the inside. Place your bid for the backpack Jaden Smith wore too, made by Pangolin (lot #8).
Take Thor home
You'll have the opportunity to bid on items of mythical proportions when you see the movie posters signed by Chris Hemsworth, the actor who portrayed the God of Thunder in "Thor," "The Avengers" and "Thor: The Dark World." One colorful poster (lot #83) is being offered from the personal collection of Anthony Almaraz, the costumer on the film "Thor." The inscription reads, "To Tony, You are the greatest!!!! Love ya, Chris Hemsworth." This collectible poster features Thor and his infamous hammer in flight and measures 13 inches by 20 inches. The actor also signed a large format print of a Thor comic cover (lot #84) in silver ink, saying, "To Anthony, All the best, Chris Hemsworth." This 30-by-42-inches poster is full of vibrant colors and also comes from the personal collection of costumer Anthony Almaraz.
