This set has been graded by PCGS with the following grades: 1-cent SP-64 Red, 5-cent SP-64, 10-cent SP-65, 25-cent Low Relief SP-64, 50-cent SP-66 & Silver $1 Short Waterline SP-66. Bidding opens at $3500!
Lot 527 is one of the highlighted 10 cent pieces in the sale. Valued at $5500, this is a 1903 ICCS Certified MS 64 piece. It is an attractive coin with great eye appeal. Pre bidding has already heated up as we move closer to auction day.
The most valuable piece in the auction comes up on the 2nd day at Lot 718B. Colonial Acres is offering an 1871 50 cent piece certified ICCS MS-63. Valued at $22000 this is a great offering for the day. As described in the catalog:
“50-cent 1871 ICCS Certified MS-63. A Rare Mintstate example of this Victorian 50-cent coin is tied for the 2nd highest grade by ICCS with possibly only 1 coin graded higher. (possibly less than 20 Mint state examples gradeed by ICCS) The coin has a soft satin like finish with no distracting marks and a very consistant colour throughout both obverse and reverse. A very choice coin with great eye appeal worth a premium bid! Good Luck!”
